The third annual Hub Fest Celebration at East Brainerd’s Heritage Park is set for Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Family fun, food and entertainment for all ages highlight the Friends of East Brainerd free event.
May 9 is the day before Mother’s Day, so the event theme revolves around mothers, grandmothers and their children. Children will have the opportunity to work with volunteers to make free gifts for their mothers. Honors will also be given to the newest mother, eldest mother, the most generations in one family in attendance and the most children present in one family.
There will be child-friendly activities, free inflatables and games, free photos as well as a variety of demonstrations by area craftsmen and artists. Arts, gifts, crafts and a wide variety of food will be available for purchase at the event. Children will also have the opportunity to enjoy pony rides within the park.
Entertainment will be provided by Mike Harris, Rachel Holder, Wee Dance and The Jukebox Junction. The Chattanooga Bocce Club will be providing lessons and demonstrations on the courts in the park.
Three authentic gowns from the film “Gone with the Wind” have been provided by Artful Eye Gallery and will be on display inside the mansion.
