Ella V. Humphrey, 76, of Cleveland, died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 after a short battle with cancer.

She was a member of Archville Baptist Church in Polk County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Goforth and Callie Wilcox Goforth; brothers, Radar Goforth and Stanley Goforth; and sisters, Elsie Wright and Easter Ellis.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Johnny Humphrey of Cleveland; sister, Magalene Owens of Cleveland; and brothers, Letcher Goforth of Reliance, R.B. Goforth and wife Sherry and Virgil Goforth and wife Darlene all of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Minister Wilford Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Pete Reed, Jimmy Reed, Dwight Goforth, Greg Epperson, Barry Creasman and Tony Sellers serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the funeral home.
