Site-Specific Rain Data via E-mail

  • Wednesday, September 22, 2010

MyRainReport.com offers a better way to measure rain. The subscription service provides precise, site-specific rainfall data via e-mail following rain events.

Using the latitude and longitude of the customer's property-which can be determined with an application found at www.myrainreport.com-combined with Doppler radar technology and a reliable quality control system, MyRainReport.com generates an accurate measurement of precipitation without site visits or on-site hardware.

Rain reports from MyRainReport.com eliminate the inconvenience and guesswork associated with monitoring a rain gauge, allowing the customer to keep track of rainfall even on remote properties or large tracts of land simply by checking e-mail. Each personalized rain report can include multiple sites in one user-friendly e-mail that can be sent to up to three e-mail addresses.

The services include site-specific daily and monthly rain reports, as well as rainfall alerts. Daily reports relay the total amount of rainfall recorded during the previous 24-hour monitoring period; monthly reports are delivered on the first day of the month and include all rainfall recorded during the previous month-broken down by day. Rainfall alerts are delivered once a predetermined amount of rain-chosen by the customer-falls on a site during a 24-hour period.

With personalized rain reports, record keeping is effortless. Conserving water becomes as simple as turning off irrigation once a rainfall alert is received, and by eliminating the need to drive to a location to monitor a rain gauge, fuel and money are saved. Additionally, by tracking rainfall at several sites on one piece of property, more precise property management practices can be employed.

MyRainReport.com is the affordable and hassle-free property management tool that delivers the data that landowners and managers need to effectively manage their properties.
