This is in regards to the article about the need for a crime lab here in Chattanooga. Instead of building a brand-new building, how about remodeling the Hamilton County Justice Building since it is sitting empty. That would be better use of funds and buildings then to try and locate property just to build a brand-new building. There are also empty spaces at the TVA building that could be utilized.
Why can't the powers that be look into these buildings for the crime lab?
This tearing down and building new buildings is getting a little out of control as there are places all over this city that could be revitalized and used. Take the funds that would be used for this and use it towards remodeling.
Just like the Medical Arts Building near the church that has been talked about tearing down - why?
Maybe offer leasing rates that are reasonable and maybe more companies would look into using them for the headquarters.
We just have way too many empty buildings sitting around.
