Everyone enjoys road trips. This is especially so in the summer months. Tennessee finds itself home to the second most dangerous stretch of highways in the county. Fifty-two people died on I-40 last year. Only Florida's US 1 had more, with 102. But let's measure these numbers in a different way. Based on the number of miles on the highway, how many deaths do we have by mile?
Using this metric we fare a bit better. We drop to number nine.
So slow down and be safe on the highways this summer.
Travelling in autumn to watch the leaves explode in color is something you don't want to miss.
