Experience the magic of Christmas at the Annual Tour of Homes in the picturesque town of Rockwood, nestled at the foot of the mountain. This year’s event will showcase seven stately residences.

New this year, an authentic “Storyteller” will be performing. Downtown, visit the grand opening of “Found” an art gallery featuring local artists, and décor from Glitterville and One Hundred 80 Degrees.

One of the homes featured this year is the century-old Daniel Peterman House.

Merilyn Gentry, the current owner said, “Captain Daniel Peterman, founder of the Peterman Mercantile Company of Rockwood built this house circa 1880’s. This two-story Queen Anne styled home has been beautifully restored to its original configuration of 125 years ago, and features two staircases, doubled front doors and a generous wrap around porch. There are nine fireplaces: seven with the original oak mantles, which were made in Texas and have ceramic tile surrounds. The remaining two fireplaces have cast iron surrounds and stone mantles.”

Step back in time as you enjoy the spirit of this house.

Tickets can be purchased for $15 the day of the event at Live & Let Live Drug Store downtown where the Tour begins. Advance tickets can be purchased for $12 online at Rockwood2000.com or by calling 865 306-9543.
