Share America Foundation Awards Scholarship To Chattanooga State Student

Share America Foundation, Inc. presented Emily Hullender of Tunnel Hill, Ga. the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship for $1,000 at the Ringgold Depot.

Miss Hullender was selected as the 2008 Catoosa County designee for the scholarship at the age of 15. She now attends Chattanooga State working towards a career as a dental hygienist.

She attended Dogwood Christian Academy in Tunnel Hill. She sings soprano or tenor with the Jeff Hullender Family, with her father, Jeff Hullender and her brother, Justin.

Emily is the daughter of Jeff and Donna Hullender of Tunnel Hill and granddaughter of Jr. and Thelma Hullender of Ringgold, and Jimmy and Maxine Wright of Hazelhurst, Ga.

Other Share America Foundation Board members include Gene Lowery, vice chairman; Jerry Robinson, Sr., vice president and Adam Cathey. Its next fundraising event is Friday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m., with a $5 donation.
