BrightBridge Capital announced that Gary Petty has been named chief operating officer and chief credit officer.
The veteran banking executive brings 28 years of experience to the position. Most recently, Mr. Petty served as chief operation officer and chief financial officer at a $500 million financial institution. Prior to that time, he served as chief risk officer at a $5+ billion financial institution.
"These roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of financial operations, risk management and strategic planning," officials said.
BrightBridge Capital’s CEO Bill Pollard said, “Gary is a perfect fit for BrightBridge. His expertise and skillsets will serve us well; however, it’s the relationships he’s fostered throughout his career that will matter most as BrightBridge continues to partner with banks throughout the southeast to meet client needs.”
A lifelong Chattanoogan, Mr.
Petty received a degree in economics from the University of Georgia and a masters of accounting degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
