River City Clarinet Winter Festival Is Jan. 21

The Chattanooga Clarinet Choir and UTC Department of Music have teamed up to bring the River City Clarinet Winter Festival to Chattanooga Saturday, Jan. 21.

The one day festival includes rehearsals, a workshop, and a concert with guest artist/clinician Dr. Richard Shanley, professor emeritus of Clarinet from Baylor University.

The River City Clarinet Winter Festival concert will be from 4-5:15 p.m. at the Roland Hayes Concert Hall on the UTC campus. The concert is free and the public is invited.

The festival will be attended by 75 participants from Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, including professional, amateur, college and high school clarinetists.

Festival sponsors, in addition to UTC Dept of Music and the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir include Animal Clinic East, The Woodwind & Brasswind, Vandoren (Paris) and Consistent-C Winds.
