Lauren Alaina, the 2011 American Idol runner-up, visited her father’s workplace, BASF in Chattanooga, on Friday, Jan. 6, to thank his co-workers for their support during the competition. She met and signed autographs for plant workers and their family members.
“I love getting the opportunity to meet my dad’s co-workers,” said Lauren Alaina. “I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been.”
All employees at the Chattanooga and Dalton plant sites were invited, along with their immediate family, to a meet-and-greet with Lauren Alaina at the Amnicola site. She signed autographs and took pictures for those in attendance.
“We’re excited to see Lauren Alaina’s success,” said Rob Gagliano, BASF Chattanooga site manager. “We are proud to support her for the great chemistry she has with her music and her fans.”
Mr. Suddeth is still employed by BASF and expressed his gratitude to his co-workers for supporting his daughter during the competition. Mr. Suddeth has worked at the BASF Amnicola facility for eight years.
“We’re so proud of her,” said Mr. Suddeth. “Everyone at the Chattanooga site was so supportive of her during American Idol; it’s truly like a family.”
After American Idol concluded, Lauren Alaina spent summer touring with American Idol LIVE! Tour 2011 that began in West Valley, Utah and ended in Manila, Philippines. She has also been signed to 19 Entertainment, Interscope and Mercury Nashville to continue her career. Lauren Alaina has been chosen to open for Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party Tour. The tour kicks-off Jan. 20, and concludes on March 23.
