Andrew Witten
Miller & Martin PLLC announced that attorney J. Andrew Whitten has joined the firm as a litigation associate in the law firm's Chattanooga office. Mr. Whitten's litigation experience includes representing both public and private entities across various industries, including construction and healthcare, in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration.
Mr. Whitten's practice focuses on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including breach of contract disputes, construction defect and delay claims, healthcare litigation, and employment-related lawsuits such as discrimination, sexual harassment, workplace leave, and accommodation cases. He is also adept in contract drafting and negotiation, providing comprehensive legal support to his clients. Mr. Whitten has represented a diverse array of clients, including national construction companies in multi-million-dollar construction defect disputes, physician practice groups with regulatory compliance concerns, and large national entities, including Fortune 500 companies, in complex commercial disputes.
Mr. Whitten earned his law degree cum laude from Belmont University College of Law, where he concentrated on Health Law and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Criminal Law Journal. He also served as vice president of Belmont Law’s chapter of the American Constitution Society. Prior to law school, he earned a bachelor's degree in English from Lipscomb University.
Whitten is admitted to practice in Tennessee and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Chattanooga Bar Association.
