Ruby Dial
Ruby Lee Dial, 88, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in a local health care facility.
She was a member of Mission Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T. J. and Doshie Powell; husband, Obbie G. Dial, Sr.; sisters, Sarah Clark and Emma Jean Davenport; brothers, Jack Powell and Tom Powell.
Survivors include her sons, Obbie Dial, Jr. and Samuel (Stella) Dial; daughter, Ernestine “Tina” Dobard (Joseph) Hall all of Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Celestine Dial, Kelvin (Dedra) Dial, Greg (Marva) Dial, DeAndra (Van) Hinton, Renee Patterson and Kimberly Dobard; 17 great-grandchildren, devoted Jasmine Dial, Charlrey Dial, Marlina Dial; sister, Lillie Mae Sledge of Livingston, Ala.; nieces, Juanita Jackson and Brenda (Craig) Fletcher; dear friends, Janet Moore, Elizabeth “Liz” Arnold, Mary Collins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 4, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 5, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Willie Ison as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
