Chattanooga School Of Language Is Enrolling Students For January Term

  • Monday, December 10, 2012
The Chattanooga School of Language is enrolling students for its January 2013 term of classes in more than eight different languages. The city’s only language school offers private, semi-private and group classes in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Arabic, sign language and English as a Second Language. Additional languages and customized classes are available upon request, including workplace training, parent/child classes, after-school tutoring and travel preparation courses.

CSL operates with an emphasis on small classroom settings, flexible schedules and trusted and credible instruction. Classes are offered either in terms of six to ten weeks or are customized to meet the student’s unique needs. Teachers are often referred to as “language coaches” and use a variety of teaching methods, including film, music, food and drink, to make the language come alive for students in a truly cultural experience. Students receive a practical understanding of the language through a focus on both grammar and conversation.

According to Laurie Stevens, CSL owner and operator, the school attracts people from all walks of life with a variety of motivations. “It’s a wonderful thing to see people come together to learn languages for so many different reasons,” she said. Call 802-2040 for more information or to register.
