Mark Gibson Arrested For 2 Burglaries From Autos In East Ridge

East Ridge Police arrested Mark Anthony Gibson, 44, black male, of Chattanooga, in connection with two burglaries from autos that occurred on Fawn Drive. The arrest was made on Thursday, at approximately 4 a.m.

An alert citizen notified police when they observed a suspicious person peering into a vehicle with a flashlight in the area of Beulah Drive. Police arrived in three minutes and found the suspect who matched the description given to the dispatcher. During the investigation, several items were located in the suspect’s pockets which were stolen from vehicles on Fawn Drive in East Ridge. The stolen property was returned to the respective owners. East Ridge criminal investigators are continuing to investigate this incident.

Gibson was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with two counts of burglary of an auto, two counts of theft under $500, and possession of burglary tools. He is scheduled to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m.
