Police said they used fingerprints to nab a suspect in a robbery at the Family Dollar on Wilcox Boulevard in which two men assaulted two female employees and stole a money bag on July 2.

Diantree Williams, 18, of Slayton Avenue, is charged with aggravated robbery.

Police said they may make a second arrest in the case.

Denise Congdon and Sue Ann Moore said they had just exited the business when a black male approached asking about a job. They said he then assaulted them in an effort to get the bank bag.

When the women fought back, a second black male came running in and also assaulted the women while trying to get the bag.

One of the men pulled Ms.

Congdon from the vehicle. She continued to try to fight, but was thrown to the side.

Ms. Moore was then grabbed by the hair and pulled from the vehicle. She was also thrown to the side.

The women returned to the vehicle and continued to fight the first man, then the second man ran in and punched Ms. Congdon in the face.

The pair then opened the door of the vehicle, grabbed the money bag and ran off.

Police said fingerprints were lifted from Ms. Congdon's car, but there initially were no matches. However, after Williams was arrested for the first time as an adult the next day, there was a match to his prints.

Police said Ms. Congdon picked Williams out of a lineup.
