Local Memorial Service To Commemorate Losses From Abortion

  • Tuesday, January 8, 2013

A public memorial service, recognizing the Sanctity of Human Life, will be held Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. at the National Memorial for the Unborn located at 6230 Vance Road, adjacent to Choices Pregnancy Resource Center.

Organizers said, "We meet to remember and honor more than 54 million babies lost to abortion since 1973."

This service will mark the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v Wade, which opened the doors for legalized abortion. The National Memorial for the Unborn began operations in 1996. Founded in 1994 and constructed on the former site of Chattanooga’s only abortion clinic, this site now brings hope and healing to thousands who have placed plates of remembrance on the Wall of Names.

"We invite you to join us for an inspirational hour of music, a message of hope, testimonies, and a solemn candlelight service. See for yourself how the National Memorial impacts the lives of people from all over the United States and across the world."
