Staples Gets Contract For City Office Supplies

  • Tuesday, December 3, 2013

The City Council on Tuesday night approved the awarding of a contract for office supplies to Staples for an estimated annual amount of $150,000 and for toner for an estimated $300,000.

There were three other bidders, officials said.

The contract was put out to bid after a report from the city internal auditor was critical of the prior contract with COS Business Products and Interiors. The firm got the city's business in 2010 and it was renewed on a yearly basis.

COS Business Products and Interiors was one of the bidders for the new contract.
