Citizens For Free Markets To Host Free Public Forum To Discuss Costs Of Unionizing

  • Thursday, July 18, 2013

The public is invited to a free forum hosted by Citizens for Free Markets concerning the costs and consequences of United Auto Workers' (UAW) current attempt to unionize the Volkswagen Chattanooga plant.

Organizers said, "As all Chattanoogans may be directly or indirectly impacted by the plant workers' decision, which extends well beyond contract negotiations, this discussion is greatly needed."

The forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Embassy Suites at Hamilton Place, 2321 Lifestyle Way, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Speakers will include Matt Patterson, labor specialist and senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Dr.  Charles Van Eaton, labor economist and Don Jackson, former executive at VW Chattanooga.
