Mona Johnson
Mona Johnson died on July 8, 2013 at a local health care facility.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1925, in the Blackfox area of Bradley County. Mona was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and the Sunshine Class where she was very active. She was also on the clean-up committee for her association at HCTA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her husband, John K Johnson, five brothers and her son-in-law, Jack Winkler.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Winkler, five grandchildren, Jarrod (Amanda) Winkler, Darla (Jerry) Owens, Stephhanie (Berry) Franklin, John Winkler and Ann Winkler, eight great-grandchildren, several sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
