I appreciate the service received earlier today at the Social Security Administration local office. Thanks to a functional check-in system and well-versed staff, my visit went surprisingly smooth.
It was with concern and dread I approached the front doors of our local SSA office on Premier Drive; but an attempt to e-file my IRS Return revealed a discrepancy requiring a personal visit. After brief direction (with a smile) from the security officer and a simple sign-in at the kiosk, my number was assigned and I was in queue.
Within 15 minutes my number was called. The clerk was quick to understand my issue and the documents I needed to retrieve and submit to make the correction. My return visit netted a different clerk, but my ramblings were promptly understood and the appropriate correction was made.
