Sheriff's Office Seeks Help In Locating Driver In Hit And Run Car And Bicycle Accident

A hit and run traffic crash that occurred in the 4300 block of Green Shanty Road involving a car and. bicycle was reported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on May 6. 

The victim advised deputies he heard a vehicle approaching from behind him at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle passed, he was struck by the passenger side mirror, which caused him to run off the roadway. 

The rider sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for scratches, bruises and a fractured nose.

The victim told deputies the only thing he remembered about the suspect vehicle is that it was a blue Camaro with silver stripes on the side with Tennessee tags.

The HCSO Traffic Division is requesting that anyone who has information on this incident should contact its office at 893-3503, ext. 227.
