An announcement is expected on Monday that the Chattanooga Volkswagen plant will get a new SUV line, plant insiders said.
State officials have been working in recent months on the incentive package for the new line.
VW has been producing the Passat sedan at the Enterprise South facility, but has room built in for a second line.
