First Christian Church Holds Installation For Officers

God graces the church with leaders equipped for its work by gifts of the Holy Spirit. On Sunday, Jan. 18, First Christian Church rejoiced as the following leaders accepted the call to service as officers for the 2015 year: John Holcombe, president; Rona Gary, vice president; Shannon Beattie, secretary; Lisa Wilkes, assistant secretary; Betty Jolly, treasurer; and Rick Cutsinger, assistant treasurer.

Elders are called to be teachers, shepherds, church leaders, and celebrators of the Lord’s Supper.

The elders called to serve include: Byron Cole, Scot Crosslin, Rick Cutsinger, Alan Derthick, Betty Floyd, Larry Kirby, Bea Lyons, David Street, and Phil Summerlin.

Deacons provide gifts of ministry for service. The following have accepted the call to service as deacons: Rachael Allen, Judy Duncan, Shawn Fulgham, Diane Givens, Linda Hershey, Delores Kenyon, Lesley Cole-Morgan, Sandy Reynolds, Connie Smithson, Darby Standefer, and Tom Street.
