Jason Beene, 38, has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
The victim, who waited a week to report the incident because she was scared of Beene, said that he has been her on and off again live-in boyfriend for months.
She said that while together at his apartment on the 400 block of Carriage Parc, he accused her of cheating on him and became angry.
She said that he hit her in the face and eye and then started to strangle her while she was on the ground.
After he stopped choking her, she said that he stood up and kicked her in the ribs before punching her head one more time.
The victim said that she left the apartment and went to her parent’s home. When she spoke with police the following week, officers reported that she still had bruising from the assault.
