Prince Hall Shriners Host Charity Ball Weekend Nov. 20-21

Hyksos Temple No. 123 Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine of North and South America and Its Jurisdictions Incorporated also known as Prince Hall Shriners will host its 11th Annual Charity Ball Weekend themed Egyptian Allure.  Tickets and tables can be secured by contacting any Prince Hall Shriner.  

The 11th Annual Charity Ball Weekend will begin on Friday, Nov. 20, with “Can Goods and Cocktails VIII” Pre Gala at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center on 200 East M. L. King Blvd.  Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is $10 or five can goods and the proceeds benefit the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.  There will be hor d’oeuvres, cash bar and a disc jockey. 

The 11th Annual Charity Ball honoring Illustrious Potentate Lee "Sonny" Mosley Jr. will be Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Chattanooga Convention Center at 1150 Carter St.  This black-tie event begins at 8 p.m. and benefits the Reuben Strickland Memorial Scholarship Fund and other Shrine Charities.  Entertainment will be by the Satin Finish Band from Atlanta and Chattanooga disc jockey, DJ Mixx. 

The mission of Hyksos Temple #123 Prince Hall Shriners is to be a benevolent and charitable fraternal organization that is dedicated to the principle of fostering civic, economic, and educational development programs.  Its goal is to promote a healthy quality of life for the youth, elderly, and those suffering in the Greater Chattanooga area and abroad. 

The Charity Ball is one of the biggest fundraising efforts of the year for Hyksos Temple #123 and it is dependent on community support through donations of goods and services, sponsorships, ticket sales, and individual contributions.
