Cecil Elliott, 62, was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed his brother and punched his niece in the face.

The victims stated that they had been drinking on the porch when the defendant and his niece got into an argument. During this argument, he allegedly struck her in the face.

According to the victims, after seeing this, her father stood up and pushed Elliott and the two of them went to the ground and scuffled.

Elliott then pulled out a small knife and cut his brother in the hand.

During the victims’ interviews, Elliott came out of the residence to officers and said that he wanted the two of them to leave his house. He also said that his brother had assaulted him with a knife.

Elliott did not have any injuries consistent with a knife attack, except for small cuts on his knuckles which appeared to be from punching someone, whereas the victims had wounds consistent with their story.

He was taken into custody and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
