Public Hearing On Wilcox Tunnel Is Tuesday Afternoon

The Chattanooga City Council is holding a public hearing regarding the Wilcox Tunnel Project on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Council Assembly.

The city has long been studying possible upgrades for the narrow tunnel through Missionary Ridge.

Several federal grant applications have been turned down.

The Wilcox Tunnel will be closed Thursday and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day in preparation for tunnel improvement projects. Detours will be posted.
