5 Charged In Vandalism At Signal Athletic Fields

Five people, including a current student and four former students, have been charged in connection with major vandalism at Signal Mountain High/Middle School athletic fields.

People said, in an early morning incident on Feb. 26, the group used three vehicles to tear up several practice fields.

One vehicle was caught after the group was spotted by police. Two others got away, but police said they later learned their identities - partially through posting of videos on Facebook.

Charged with vandalism/malicious mischief were John Wilson, 18. Lillian McGinnis, 19, Richard Mundis, 22, David Sitton, 19, and McCallie Padgett, 20.
