Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said Thursday work by members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a suspect who they have charged with stealing two white boxer puppies from a home on Daniel Lane.

The cage holding the four–month-old puppies was cut and they were taken while the owner was away on April 7.

The following day detectives found the puppies at separate locations in Bradley and Polk counties. Both were in good health and they have been returned to the owner.

Heather Dunn, 38, who gave an address of Wesley Court when she was booked into the Bradley County Jail, was charged with theft over $500.

The investigation revealed there had been an attempt to sell the puppies using an Internet service.
