UTC's Will Wade Named Virginia Commonwealth Head Coach

UTC head basketball coach Will Wade was  named VCU head basketball coach on Monday.   Wade will replace Shaka Smart who was recently hired by Texas.  Wade worked as an assisted to Smart for four years.  

Wade has been at UTC for two years with an 18-15 recorded his first year and 22-10 this past year.  He was named Southern Conference coach of the year in 2014.  

Wade called a team meeting at 11:45 on Monday in Chattanooga.  

The VCU athletic department will host a press conference on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
