Creative Discovery Museum’s Annual Fundraiser Goes To The Next Level With 2-Day AmuseUm 2.0 Event

  • Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Creative Discovery Museum is taking its annual fundraiser to the next level this year with AmuseUm 2.0 as it becomes a full weekend of high-tech amusement. First, AmuseUm, the party for grown-ups that benefits kids will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29. This year’s party features guest entertainment by Two Bit Circus.

Based in Los Angeles, Two Bit Circus will be “engineering entertainment” with high-tech amusements that will ignite curiosity and wonder. This interdisciplinary team of artists, engineers, educators, inventors, will provide high-tech physical and digital playgrounds to create a new world of social amusement that is imaginative and interactive.

In addition to an evening of next-level entertainment, guests will experience spectacular food from Lee Towery Catering and vivacious dancing with music from Sound Force Entertainment.

Guests can support the museum further by bidding at the silent and “roaming” live auctions for a wide variety of items ranging from vacation getaways to one-of-a-kind objects. Guests can also bid before-hand through an online auction that kicks off on Aug. 14 and runs through Aug. 28 a twww.cdmfun.org/auction.

AmuseUm 2.0 will be expanding the fun the following day on Aug. 30 with AmuseUm 2.0: Kid’s Edition. All the high-tech amusements from Two Bit Circus will stay at the museum through the weekend, so families can bring their kids to experience the digital playground.

On Sunday, guests can pay what they wish at the door instead of the standard ticket price for admission. Sponsorships for AmuseUm Kid Edition will open the door to all children in the community for this family friendly version of technology and spectacle.

All funds raised from AmuseUm go to help Creative Discovery Museum remain a vital resource for the community by offering quality programs and exhibits to over 250,000 people annually.

“Supporters of AmuseUm are truly helping engineer a future for the next generation as they help us inspire all children to explore, innovate, create and play,” said Henry Schulson, executive director. “AmuseUm will provide much-needed support to enable us to reach out in our community and make it the best place for a child to grow up.”
