Dodd Arrested After 2 Bank Robberies In 3 Days

Chattanooga Police have arrested 32-year-old Christopher Joseph Dodd in connection with two local bank robberies in three days.

         The First TN Bank at 4430 Highway 58 was robbed on Monday at approximately 11:30 a.m.

         The Cohutta Bank at 5613 Highway 153 was robbed on Wednesday at approximately 4:25 p.m.

         Dodd is also a suspect in thefts from businesses within the same time period.

·         In both bank robberies, Dodd handed the bank teller a note demanding cash and claiming he had a firearm.

·         The Chattanooga Police Department was assisted by the United States Marshals Service and the Red Bank Police Department.

Dodd was arrested in mid-June for two counts of theft over $500, then arrested at the end of June for theft over $1,000.
