Davis, Carrie Mae "Doll" (Whitwell)

Carrie Mae “Doll” Davis, 96, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015.

She was a former resident of Whiteside, TN for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Rosie York; two husbands, Lois Hickman and W. N. “Bill” Davis; two sons, Arlen (Laura Mae) Hickman and L. D. Hickman; one daughter, Dorothy (Ed) DeNoyes; one grandson, Willie Hickman; five brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joyce Hickman; five grandsons, Stacy, Robert, and James Hickman and Chris and Nathan DeNoyes; two granddaughters, Sherry Spangler and Cindy Moreland; several great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 6, at 3 p.m. CDT, with Brother William Gouger officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens in Chattanooga, on Tuesday, July 7.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, July 5, from 1-8 p.m. CDT at the Tate Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
