The Plastic Surgery Group announced the addition of Dr. Devan Griner.

Dr. Griner is a graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Chattanooga in 2014.  He completed a fellowship at The Craniofacial Center in Dallas, before accepting a position with The Plastic Surgery Group.

Dr. Griner’s passion for plastic surgery came many years ago during a mission trip to Vietnam.  During his stay, he personally observed the difference that plastic surgery made in the lives of  children with cleft palates and other craniofacial challenges.  His passion led him to Dr. Larry Sargent, who provided the medical expertise and mentorship Griner was seeking.  Together, they developed a new technique for cloverleaf skull deformities.  News of the procedure was covered in the May 2013 edition of The Annals of Plastic Surgery with Dr. Sargent and Dr. Griner sharing the cover.

Dr. Griner is certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery and holds a Tennessee State Medical License.  An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Griner and his wife have three children and have settled in the East Brainerd area.

Dr. Mark Brzezinski said, “We are very pleased to have someone with Dr. Griner’s skills and expertise join our Group.  The thoughtful care and precision he provides to his patients is something that mirrors our practice and one of many attributes that makes him a perfect fit for The Plastic Surgery Group.”

“I am honored to join Chattanooga’s most prestigious plastic surgery practice,” said Dr. Griner. “The work they do is nothing short of transformational and I look forward to working with them and being a part of such a special community.”
