Chattanooga Central Hall of Fame Class Of 2015

Dickie Phillips, Ronnie Kincer, Sandy Hanks Among The Honorees

Led by high school All-Americans in Ronnie Kincer and Dickie Phillips and pro baseball (Daniel Curtis Braves AAA) and softball (Sandy Hanks, Va. Roadsters), Chattanooga Central High School has announced its eight member class of 2015.

The eight inductees will be honored Friday Oct. 2 as Chattanooga Central hosts Stone Memorial at 7:30 p.m.

The class of 2015 (8): Daniel Curtis (baseball – 8 yrs in the Atlanta Braves organizaiton), Sandy Hanks (softball, La.

Tech and pro career), Connie Hay (contributions), Norman Hofferman (four sports in the 1950s), Ronnie Kincer (softball, football), Gene Lively (baseball coach), Dickie Phillips (football, U. of Georgia), David Vaighn (basketball, Auburn Univ.)

Alumni Golf: The annual golf tournament is set for Bear Trace in Harrison Oct.2 with a 8 a.m. start time with light breakfast and bar-b-que lunch … $100 per person … $400 per team … great prizes … hole in one and closest to the pin contest and more.

HOF Dinner: a pre-game bar-b-que dinner ($5) to honor the inductees will be held in the school cafeteria at 5:45 p.m.
