Five Star Breaktime Solutions Acquires Heart Of Georgia Vending

  • Wednesday, May 28, 2025
Five Star Breaktime Solutions announces the acquisition of Heart of Georgia Vending. This acquisition marks the third for the company in the month of May.

"This deal deepens Five Star’s presence in Middle Georgia and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding service to workplace breakrooms across the state," officials said. "Founded in December of 1996 by industry veteran Richard Rustin, Heart of Georgia Vending has become a trusted name in vending services throughout the greater Macon, GA area.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience at Coca-Cola, Richard built his company from the ground up—expanding to over 150 vending machines and earning a reputation for reliability and customer care."

“After nearly three decades in business, the time felt right to step away and enjoy more time with my wife, Wendy, and our grandchildren,” said Richard Rustin, Heart of Georgia Vending owner. “I'm proud of what we've built and have full confidence that Five Star will continue serving our customers with the same dedication.”

“On behalf of the entire Five Star team, we thank Richard for entrusting us with the legacy of Heart of Georgia Vending. We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service while introducing new offerings to enhance the breaktime experience for current and future customers,” said Pat Barger, director of mergers and acquisitions for Five Star.

The newly acquired service locations will be integrated into Five Star’s local Macon operations, adding to the growing base of business in that market.
