No. 7 Tennessee begins its journey at the 2025 Women's College World Series as it takes on No. 2 overall seed Oklahoma on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET at Devon Park.

The NCAA Tournament's No. 7 seed, the Lady Vols (45-15) made it to Oklahoma City as going 5-1 in the Knoxville Regional and Super Regional.

Last weekend at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium, Tennessee battled its way out of the Knoxville Super Regional after it dropped the opening game to Nebraska, winning back-to-back elimination games to advance to the WCWS.
In those two victories, Karlyn Pickens pitched two complete games, with 21 strikeouts and two walks. Ella Dodge also starred for the Lady Vols, hitting two home runs off Jordy Bahl - a two-run shot in Game 2 and a solo blast in Game 3.

WHEN OKLAHOMA CITY CALLS OUR NAME
Tennessee is back at the Women's College World Series for the ninth time in program history and for the second time in the past three seasons. UT previously reached the WCWS in: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2023.

POSTSEASON SUCCESS
The Lady Vols own a 96-49 record all-time in the NCAA Tournament. At the WCWS, they are 17-16 entering the weekend. In the program's last trip to OKC, it went 2-2 with wins over Alabama and Oklahoma State. Its two defeats came against Oklahoma and Florida State.

AGAINST THE SOONERS
The Lady Vols will face Oklahoma for the fourth time this season after playing a three-game set in Norman in March. UT won the series 2-1, becoming just the third team to take a series in Norman since 2007.
