MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 17 points and had nine rebounds and six assists Friday night as Hamilton Heights defeated Southwind, 63-53, in the Penny Hardaway Hoopfest at Lausanne Collegiate School.
Earlier in the day, Walker received a scholarship offer from Virginia Commonwealth.
The Hawks (13-2) also got 12 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Therren Shelton-Szmidt added 11 points.
Abdulhakim Ado scored five points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked five shots in the win.
The Hawks won the rebounding battle, 43-34.
Hamilton Heights will play Bolton High School on Saturday at 4:30 CT.
