First Tennessee Bank had a system issue Monday afternoon that caused some transactions, including some deposits, to not post until late Tuesday morning.
Officials said, "A hardware failure has caused problems with some customer transactions at First Tennessee. Repairs are underway, and some transactions already have been updated. We expect all deposits to post today, and any remaining withdrawals will post tomorrow."
Financial centers across Tennessee were supposed to remain open until 6 p.m.
to help customers to resolve any issues.
Officials said, "We will of course not charge any fees caused by our delay, which was the result of a computer hardware failure and not a computer hack or cyber-attack. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the problems, and we apologize for the inconvenience."
