First Lawsuit Filed In Woodmore Elementary Wreck

  • Wednesday, November 23, 2016

The first lawsuit has been filed against the school bus company and driver involved in the tragic Woodmore Elementary bus accident.

Attorney Herbert Thornbury filed the suit in Circuit Court on behalf of Kimberly Boling and her eight-year-old son, Jamar.

It is brought against Durham School Services and driver Johnthony Walker.

The suit says the eight-year-old Jamar may have permanent injuries from the wreck on Talley Road in Brainerd, as well as psychological damage.

It notes that road conditions were dry and clear.

The suit says Walker was operating the bus "in a negligent and careless fashion." It says Durham was negligent in his hiring and training.
