Mary Whaley, 82, of the Mt. Pleasant Community, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Dalton Place.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don Whaley; parents, Rollie and Georgia Brock; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ben and Gladys Whaley; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Lillian Brock; sisters and a brother-in-law, Sue and Arnold Phillips and Odell Fossett.
Mrs. Whaley was a member of Concord Baptist Church of Cohutta, GA.
She is survived by her son, Gary Whaley and Qudie Cline of Dalton; grandchildren, Ty Whaley, Chelsey Cline and Logan Cline; sister and brother-in-law, Raymond and Sonja Martin of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Brock of Chatsworth, Joe and Rachel Brock of Dalton and Richard and Nancy Brock of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. John Bagley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-9 p.m.
