Macie Blaylock Stonecypher, 97, of Rossville, died on Monday, December 12, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Stonecypher was born on Nov. 29, 1919, in Waynesburg, Ky., to the late Rufus and Nell Hammer Bitner.  She had lived most of  her life in north Georgia, was a member of Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church, and was retired from the Personality Shop in Rossville. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, W.C. Blaylock and Guy V. Stonecypher, brother, Orville Bitner, and sister, Madge Stamper.

Survivors include her sister, Gladys Ryan; sister-in-law, Mary Blaylock; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastors Dan Gilchrist and Cloyd Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 15, from noon until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
