Blood Assurance, is once again partnering with MoonPie for the second annual Pi Day blood drive on Monday. All community members who make a donation at a local donor center will receive a classic MoonPie treat and will have the opportunity to save three lives with each donation. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 as a representation for the mathematical symbol used to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
“We are grateful to have MoonPie as a partner again this year to help us thank all blood donors in the community who come out on Pi Day to help save local patients’ lives across the region” said Charlie Callari, vice president of marketing and donor recruitment for Blood Assurance, Inc.
“We encourage folks to stop by a Blood Assurance donor center on Pi Day, enjoy some tasty MoonPie treats and help us give back to those in need of blood.”
“We are excited to offer MoonPies again this Pi Day to all blood donors who make a donation at Blood Assurance,” said Tory Johnston, vice president of marketing for MoonPie. “The mission of Blood Assurance is saving lives, and we can’t think of a better mission to get behind than that. We hope that the community will celebrate Pi Day with us by making a blood donation and enjoying some MoonPies.”
