Firefighters Respond On Fire Outside East Chattanooga Home

Firefighters responded early Sunday morning on a fire outside an East Chattanooga home.

A call for service came into the 911 Center at 3:41 a.m. for 2012 Bragg St.The homeowner told dispatch she smelled smoke coming from the basement.

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded from Stations 4,5,10, and 15. Fire crews arrived at 3:48 a.m. to find a small fire on the outside of the structure. Fire hoses were deployed and the fire was called under control at 3:51 a.m.

There were no injuries reported and the cause is still under investigation.

The Chattanooga Police Department was on the scene to assist.
