I cannot be silent after watching the news media on two of our major cable channels badger, challenge, question and interrogate some of our longstanding, well-respected members of Congress to a point that I was cheering for them to get up and walk out.
Yes, I was watching you Senators Lindsey Graham, Jeff Sessions, and Ron Johnson. You will never receive an apology from those particular reporters but I shall send you one to let you know that we voters who send you to Congress to work for all of us value your time and do not appreciate what I witnessed today. Too many in the media seem to think you elected representatives are invited in only to fill a time slot and can be queried, dressed down, talked over, and refuted as a means to make clear that they know more than you do about your business and the policies this country needs to solve its problems and threats.
Then there are the others today alone (Senators Corker, Alexander, McConnell, and Speaker Ryan and Donald Trump) who were misquoted in order to paint a picture more disturbing than the facts.
It is past time for the media to be called out and that is what I am doing.
