Signal Mountain Wins Three In River City Rumble

The Sale Creek Lady Panthers claimed 2-1 wins over Sullivan South and Carbon Hill in action from the Rocky Top Classic volleyball tournament being played in Knoxville.

Abbey Burton had a dozen kills and 19 digs in the first win while Bailey Nelson had 22 assists and Ariana Smith 20 digs.

Smith really came to life in the second match and finished with 14 kills and 27 digs.  Morgan Weatherford had 22 digs and Bailey Nelson 16 assists in that match as well.

Meanwhile in Chattanooga, Signal Mountain improved to 20-5 overall with three wins in the River City Rumble.  The Lady Eagles had wins over GPS by scores of 25-23 and 26-24 in addition to Fellowship Christian by scores of 25-22 and 25-20 before beating Soddy Daisy, 25-23 and 25-22.

Aubrie Johnson had 29 kills in those three matches while Nicole Terfloth had 33 digs and Kate Barry 34 assists.

Also in the River City Rumble, the Chattanooga Christian Lady Chargers lost all four of their matches on Friday.

East Hamilton won the first match by scores of 25-17 and 25-16 while Baylor posted a win by scores of 25-14 and 25-12.  Goodpasture was a winner by scores of 25-16 and 25-13 while Red Bank claimed the last one by identical 25-23 scores.
