Man Charged With DUI For 14th Time To Be Kept In Jail Until Monday

A man who was arrested on Friday for his 14th DUI will be kept in jail over the weekend.

Edward Wayne Shumacker, 52, will be held without bond until he sees a judge on Monday morning.

Shumacker's maroon Volvo was stopped by an officer checking a registration violation on Lee Highway.

A strong odor of alcohol came from inside the vehicle.

Police said Shumacker performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Shumacker, of 6605 Vaden Dr., East Brainerd, was also charged with driving on a revoked license.
