Vietnam Veteran Held Long Career With TVA

Gary L. Bradford, 68, lost his battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.    

An avid Big Orange fan and crappie fisherman, Gary worked for TVA for 30 years, the majority of the time at Widows Creek.  He was also a Vietnam veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Bradford.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Sue Bradford; children, Gary (Jennifer) Bradford, Jr., Jeff (Shannon) Bradford, Angela Williams, Ann (Jeremy) Futrell, and Brian (Tabbitha) Lake; eleven grandchildren, Garrison and Alex Gentry, Tyler and Wes Bradford, Logan, Katelyn, and Jacob Bradford, Erin and Bryson Lake, and Ensley and Madeline Futrell; and mother, Ernestine Hatcher;

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 

A private graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association, TN Chapter, Box 40244, Nashville, TN 37204. 

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412.
