IRONKIDS Chattanooga Fun Run Is Saturday

  • Thursday, September 21, 2017

UnitedHealthcare will sponsor the IRONKIDS Chattanooga Fun Run on Saturday at Ross’s Landing.

The UnitedHealthcare IRONKIDS Chattanooga Fun Run gives children ages 3 to 13 the opportunity to run on the same course as Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga presented by McKee A Family Bakery athletes.

The one-mile and half-mile runs are for “triathletes-to-be” and aim to help stem the rising tide of childhood obesity through exercise and healthy lifestyles.

The cost for registration is $20, and every child receives a T-shirt, race bib, gift bag and finisher medal. Registration details are available at www.ironkids.com. UnitedHealthcare is providing 50 complimentary admissions to DuPont Elementary School 5th graders to encourage participation.

A warm up with IRONKIDS, IRONMAN pro-athletes and Dr. Health E. Hound will be at 8:45 a.m.  The start of the fun run is at 9 a.m.
