The Salvation Army Angel Tree Distribution in Chattanooga will take place at 5000 Calhoun Ave. on Dec. 17 and 18, beginning each day at 8 a.m. In Cleveland, the distribution will take place on Dec. 19, at 201 Grove Ave. at 9 a.m.
Close to 4,700 children and seniors who were placed on Angel Tags and adopted through the Angel Tree program will receive neighbors’ generous gifts on these days officials said.
“Our community continues to show an outpouring of support and generosity,” said Major Mark Smith, Salvation Army area commander. “I know these children and seniors will experience the joy of Christmas, knowing someone cares for them. Thank you to all who adopted these angels. Together we are doing the most good.”
Food Boxes will also be given to each family with enough groceries to last a week.
The Salvation Army still needs volunteers and monetary donations this Christmas season. Donations can be made at www.csarmy.org or by calling 423-756-1023.
